SO...this is where we're at...

Okay, so here we are.. starting a blog for a project.. goodness me, if 2008 isn't the year of the blog, I dunno how we're going to manage having real lives and keeping up.

Anyway. I began to consider what to tell minneapolis when I came across this logo for a project by a french design firm... (didn't write the name down.. minus one for me)

It immediately reminded me of Adam Garcia's 'You will never be lonely again' campaign, and more similar projects.
I want to give Minneapolis something to think about. Sayings that are easily taken to relate to many things.. like horoscopes. but not. thats a bad analogy. These sayings will be based off of research of minneapolis and humanity.

This is a print I did last year that seems to be similar in content to what I want to say to people. Maybe a little more opinionated that I'd like. But its a work in progress right?

These images I've collected from http://fuzzysquid.com/lj.php
This website feeds the latest 50 images posted to live journal, and I've always found the most interesting part of it is the Russian and other foreign posts that I come upon. I always want to know what they say, and it lets me consider other letterforms and cultures that share our internet culture so greatly. Foreign trash is my treasure.

I also found these two poster projects that are inspirational to this project.
